We're a company that's on the go. We got a lot of good things on the innovation front in our portfolio. It's an exciting time. I think getting in and understanding what that culture is and what the people are like would be a good fit for a number of our interns.
I wanted to work for a renowned company that valued creativity, innovation and leadership. And I found that not only did ConAgra meet these particular expectations, but I also wanted to work for a company where I like the products and the people and it was very apparent throughout the whole interview process that ConAgra would provide me with all of that.
They delivered on everything to get me to come down here for the summer. So looking back on it, it's definitely a good decision and I'm reaping a lot of benefits.
There was a posting for it online and I just decided to go ahead and apply for it. I got it.
It's going to be a great experience just to get that kind of a general management but also a brand management experience all in one summer.
I'm working on my masters right now in sensory research, so I'm getting hands on experience with exactly what I'm going to school for.
It's good networking. It kind of gives you an idea of where you want to go.
It's interesting to enact change and it really like working with different people and hopefully getting a final result that everyone likes.
I feel like I actually have projects that are going to make a difference to the company and that are actually useful.
They bring a fresh perspective to the project, abundant energy and ultimately move the business forward because these are projects that we need help with.
I have a couple projects that I just got assigned that I'm really excited about.
They bring a lot of new and fresh ideas into the organization.
I'm working on 3 main projects and hopefully they'll have some end results that ConAgra'll be able to use in the future.
The tasks that we give our interns are not fluffy tasks. They're literally business needs that will be implemented, you know, within the next six months to a year.
Working on big brands makes you feel valued as an employee and also it challenges you.
We've had some lessons with leaders where we meet with the CEO, CFO, different people like that. Great experiences and they give us great details of what we should do for our futures.
The supervisors aren't afraid to let you know when you're doing a good job.
I feel that they really care in terms of what I'm gaining out of not only the experience of, but also making sure that I'm enjoying my stay in Omaha for the 11 weeks.
I'm living at UNO with all the other interns so that's been a definitely nice kind of icebreaker to get to know everybody.
We had our own impromptu barbecue last Friday on the UNO campus.
Well all of us interns have actually been planning social things outside of work too and outside of the internship program.
We've also gotten a chance to go out to the College World Series among some other local events that have made really just this internship experience in Omaha a lot of fun.
My roommates are not RQI. Have 2 finance and a supply chain roommate. So I get to meet people across the company and learn about them as people, learn about what they are doing in their specific internship positions.
The relationships that I've formed with everybody at ConAgra, I would say, have been great and excellent and have really added to the internship experience.
The relationships had a lot to do with me returning back to ConAgra.
I like all the people and everybody seem to be rooting for each other.
I really enjoyed it. I love working with my team and I really got to learn a lot more about the business.
Different company's have different personalities and there's a lot of fun people. It's young, it's energetic and I would definitely check it out.
If it's something that you're interested in, definitely pursue it.
Give it a test run. I think you'll like it. I know I have.
I would say do it.
I think it's a great company to work for.
Give it a chance
Just go for it. I mean don't be scared. Just go out and have fun with it.
They treat you very well. You learn a lot of stuff and it's really fun.
I've had really great hands on experience and I couldn't have asked for a better internship this summer.
Very exciting, interesting and a great opportunity.
It's just been a lot of fun to be able to get out here and do what I think I'm going to be doing the rest of my life.
I love the people. I love the people I'm working with and I love all the people that I've met through the internship program and it's been a lot of fun so far.
